At last, a Professionally Engineered Pet Door! Duraflex pet doors represent a major advance in mechanical pet door technology and performance. These premium quality, heavy duty pet doors remain air tight even in hurricane force winds yet easily opened by a puppy. How is that possible? The secret is in the ingenious magnetic closure design. Some conventional pet doors use just a few magnets that do a poor job of sealing against drafts. Others use a continuous magnet strip that is hard for your dog to open. Duraflex doors use super strong, rare earth point magnets along the entire periphery of the flap placed in left/ right pairs. Wind blowing against flap pushes on all the magnets at once requiring a great deal of force to push the flap open. But, the nose first approach of your dog works against only one magnet pair at a time sequentially breaking each pair as the dog moves through the opening. Sealing surfaces are neoprene rubber against industrial felt. Sealing performance is enhanced by mounting the mating frame magnets on floating sealing strips that mate with the flap magnets perfectly on every closure insuring there are no air gaps or leaks. No other pet door seals better or is more energy efficient that a duraflex.

In addition to is superior sealing performance, Duraflex pet doors are built to last a lifetime with heavy gauge aluminum frames, thick, wide flange vinyl flaps and stainless steel hardware. Frames are finished with an extremely tough industrial powder coat. This extra large model provides whopping 12.5’ X 25” flap, suitable for dogs up to 130 lbs.!

An aluminum wall tunnel and aluminum outer bezel is provided of super easy installation in most walls up to 7 3/8” thick. Unusually, thick walls can be accommodated by adding additional tunnels that telescope together for extra depth.
